Season 3 presents: The Mattison Building
Built in 1960 as cotton offices and later converted into a pathology facility, the Mattison was at the center of the agricultural and medical booms which would help cultivate Lubbock into the cultural epicenter that it is today.
The Mattison is located on Crickets Avenue, adjacent to Broadway Street. Formerly Avenue G, the street was renamed after Buddy Holly's band "The Crickets" and backs up Buddy Holly Avenue. The site sits between the First Friday Art Trail and Depot District of downtown Lubbock. On November 4th, 2016 The Mattison's abandoned top floor will be reactivated through the power of art, music, and people.
